Growing catalogue,
shrinking site.
Shauna's candles had real craft behind them, but the site was a cheap, dated storefront that undersold it. As the catalogue grew past candles into apothecary goods and crystals, the old site had nowhere to put any of it.
The real bottleneck was the fragrance list itself. With scent counts climbing toward 130, customers had no real way to browse or find a signature scent, and Shauna had no easy way to manage that volume of products.
Craft with
room to grow.
The positioning: a small-batch studio with the polish of a proper apothecary. Shauna is hands-on through every order, and the brand needed to read as intentional and personal, not mass-produced, while comfortably carrying candles, bath and body goods, and healing crystals under one roof.
Visually that meant an editorial, calm palette that could flex across very different product photography: sculpted body candles, crystal towers, whipped body butters, without the site ever feeling like three separate stores stitched together.
"I stay hands-on through every step, so each order feels intentional, personal, and made just for you. The site finally looks like that."Shauna, Founder of Adulting Candle Co
Built to hold
130 scents.
The core of the rebuild was a custom fragrance library: a CMS built to hold and filter 130+ scents by family, so a signature scent is actually findable instead of buried in a flat product list. Shauna can add, retire, and reorganise fragrances herself without touching code.
On top of that, the storefront moved onto Shopify and expanded to properly house three distinct product worlds: candles, apothecary (body butters, oils, bath blends), and ethically sourced crystals, each with its own collection structure and photography treatment.
A storefront
built to scale.
Adulting Candle Co now runs on a storefront that can actually carry its catalogue: 130+ fragrances that customers can browse by family, and a candle, apothecary, and crystal range that all feels like one brand instead of three.
It's an ongoing partnership. As Shauna adds new scents, categories, and product lines, the site and the fragrance library grow with her rather than needing a rebuild every time.
